★★★★☆

Who ever thought that continuously running even longer distances than a marathon would be crazy or unhealthy – think again. There are entire populations who do this daily, and just for fun. The Tarahumara of the Mexican Copper Canyons, for example. The author tells the story how he found them, visited them, got to know them and therefore, the human body’s capabilities, and created this amazing ultra marathon race with Western running stars like Scott Jurek. Truly eye-opening and heart-warming. It changed my view on running long distances tremendously.
