Simply great. One of the world’s best ultra runners wrote about his quest to set a new FKT (= “fastest known time”) for covering the 2,200 miles (3,500 kilometers) of the Appalachian Trail. Spoiler: he did it. But the journey was immensely tough and you live it all through with him while reading this. I’ve read a bunch of reports about crazy races from athletes, but rarely one is so eloquently written, captivating, and full of variety.

How do you feel after reading this?

This helps me assess the quality of my writing and improve it.
